Downie
MetOcean (Dartmouth, Canada) has hired Emily MacPherson and Laura Squires. Both MacPherson and Squires will join the sales and marketing team. MacPherson will work on the buoy and profiler portfolios, and Squires will be responsible for the tracking and locating product line.

Guy Downie has been hired as sales and marketing director for Vikoma International Ltd. (East Cowes, England). Downie will lead regional sales managers, internal market support and sales administration. He joins the company from Freudenberg Oil & Gas, where he was European sales director.

Alexander Kocherscheidt has joined Atlas Elektronik (Bremen, Germany) as managing director. A corporate lawyer, Kocherscheidt will lead commercial operations and human resources, legal and compliance. Kocherscheidt succeeds Dieter Rottsieper, who joined the executive board of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems.

GL Renewables Certification (GL RC), based in Hamburg, Germany, has appointed Daniel Hein as head of group China. Hein, who has been with GL RC since 2008, will focus on expanding the companyís presence in the Chinese market.

UTEC (Houston, Texas) has appointed Mark Klusza as vice president of measurement technology. With a background in industrial measurement, Klusza will focus on building UTECís industrial measurement and control capabilities.

Andreas Chrysostomou has been appointed president of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology, based in London, England. He is the 111th president.

With more than 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, Paul Watson has joined CDL (Houston, Texas) as Vice President of North America. Watson was previously the global business development manager for Intermoor.

Tom Bower is the new Gulf of Mexico managing director at Viking SeaTech (Aberdeen, Scotland). Bower has nearly 30 years experience and holds a post-graduate degree in mechanical engineering.

Hiab, part of Cargotec (Helsinki, Finland), has appointed Carl Gustaf Göransson as senior vice president. Göransson will be responsible for Hiabís global markets business unit.

Sonardyne International Ltd. (Yateley, England) has hired Dr. Ralph Rayner as nonexecutive chairman. Rayner is currently the nonexecutive director and will succeed Barry Clutton as chairman, who is retiring after 16 years with the company.
