Thrane & Thrane A/S.

Automated Sonar Monitoring Systems
This sonar-based tracking and monitoring system centers around focused split-beam hydroacoustic technology. Using an integrated orientation sensor and a dual-axis rotator, the system can be programmed to scan and rotate at any desired angle or interval. Heavy-duty transducer tripod mounts to maintain accurate positioning of scanning sensors are also available. BioSonics Inc.

AUV Training DVD
Hosted by Dr. Art Trembanis of the University of Delaware, the “Not in the Manual Guide® to Autonomous Underwater Vehicles” is approximately two hours in length and starts with basic definitions and concepts, building into a discussion of vehicle capabilities, sensor packages, survey strategies and field operations. Featured manufacturers include Lockheed Martin, Bluefin Robotics, Gavia and Kongsberg. Black Laser Learning.

Genset for Diesel-Electric Propulsion
This genset family consists of a workboat engine taken from the Ironmen 4000 series with a choice of 8, 12 or 16 cylinders, a generator and an electronic control system mounted on a rigid base frame. The gensets cover a power range from 760 to 2,240 kW. MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.

Oil Analysis Spectrometer
The Spectroil Q100 detects and quantifies metals in used oils and hydraulic fluids that are indicative of abnormal conditions. A CCD optical system has been added, and the standard configuration is set up to analyze 22 wear metals, contaminants and additives in 30 seconds. Spectro Inc.

ADCP Firmware Upgrade
The firmware 5x.38 release for the Workhorse ADCP offers several upgrades, including the ability to enter a fixed pitch and roll value from ±60 degrees, improved Watchdog Timer behavior, and safety resets that prevent systems from stopping their deployment prematurely. Teledyne RD Instruments Inc.

Prop Retainer Clip
This new clip replaces the split (cotter) pins previously used on the company’s thrusters to retain the propeller to the shaft. The prop retainer clip incorporates high-strength stainless steel to prevent breakage. SeaBotix Inc.

Microsalinometer
MS-310e, the new version of the MS-310, features an Ethernet interface to remotely control the measuring cycle, allowing the instrument to measure directly without the operator being present at the measurement site. Through the Ethernet connection, the MS-310e is commanded to fill or flush the measuring cells remotely. RBR Ltd.

Maritime Data Software
Using PassageManager, vessel operators can plot a route and identify the paper and electronic charts needed to navigate safely and with compliance. It also gives the user the means to organize, purchase and update all navigation products in real time. ChartCo Ltd.

Multigas Detection Device
X-am 5600 detects up to 6 gases simultaneously, including explosive, flammable and toxic gases and oxygen. The infrared sensor can measure explosive gases, carbon dioxide or both. Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA.

Video Overlay System
Dibujo HD-SDI overlays operational ROV data on the display used to pilot the vehicle, accepting dynamic data via serial or Ethernet inputs. It is housed in a 1U rackmount chassis. Hadal Technologies Inc.

Mechanical Syringe Alternative
The MicroPulse is a solid-state means of producing small, short pulses of various gases up to 1.75 scc/m at STP. The required flow during the pulse period is automatically controlled via an 8-bit digital interface by a PLC or other external controller, and overall accuracy and repeatability of 0.1% can be achieved over extended periods of fully automatic operation. InterTech Development Co.

Moored CTD with DO
MicroCAT-IDO, the newest MicroCAT model, now includes a DO sensor. Adaptive pump control optimizes pump time for best DO accuracy. Expendable anti-foulant devices and a unique flow path and pumping regimen maximize biofouling protection. Available with RS-232, RS-485 or an Inductive Modem Module. Sea-Bird Electronics Inc.

Deepsea Fluorometer Optic Sensors
New 6,000-m deepsea versions of the microFlu and enviroFlu-HC are now available. microFlu detects chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin in blue algae and CDOM, and enviroFlu-HC detects PAH and oil in water. TriOS Mess- und Datentechnik GmbH.
