Pat Grandelli
Heath Hescock has been named robotics engineer at Greensea. Previously, Hescock automated software functions through programming at Globalfoundaries. He provides system-level thinking and guidance, drawing from his strong background in hardware design and software experience.

PCCI has appointed Pat Grandelli as a chief engineer. Grandelli is a registered professional engineer and naval energy/operations staff officer who served on three U.S. Navy warships. He will be responsible for providing engineering, design, installation and program/project management services to the U.S. government and clients in the ocean facility and renewable energy industries.

Simon O’Connell has been appointed senior market manager of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) at Ocean Safety. O’Connell has more than 25 years’ experience in sales across all segments in the commercial marine, offshore, cruise and ports sectors. He will focus on sales to customers in the international maritime and offshore sectors of approved safety products.

OceanLED has named Barry Thomas national sales manager. Thomas has more than 15 years’ experience in the lighting industry, previously working in design. He will be based in the U.S. office in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Ramon Surrey has been appointed new product manager at Hella marine. Surrey brings end-to-end product design, development and management skills for both hardware and software.

Pioneer Consulting has named Ryan Wopschall as director. Wopschall brings 10 years’ experience in the undersea cable industry. His responsibilities include adding to the existing global market study capability with the use of his business and marketing skills.

Catherine Austin has been chosen to assume the role of director of marketing and communications at I-Tech. Using her experience in technical writing, research and stakeholder engagement, Austin will direct the marketing strategy and external communications for Selektope.

Marine Exhaust Systems has hired Mark Brown for technical sales. Brown brings skills from sales and marketing strategy and small business and entrepreneurship. He will be responsible for working with owners, captains, boatyards and boat builders to develop complete exhaust systems and sell individual components.

Patrick Gougeon has been appointed CEO at OpenHydro. Gougeon has more than 20 years’ experience in global technology. He is an engineer from the French Ecole Centrale de Lille.
