Global Diving & Salvage Inc. (Seattle, Washington) hired Anita McGillie as human resources manager. McGillie will direct the human resources group in the development of policies and compliance, ongoing companywide recruitment efforts and spearhead the EEO and diversity programs.

Appointed as the new operations director for Pulse Structural Monitoring (Surrey, England), Mike Campbell will lead the production, project management and offshore departments and help to manage Pulse’s recent geographical expansion. Campbell brings extensive experience to this role.

James Taylor, a 26-year nuclear industry veteran, has been named general manager of URS Corp.’s (San Francisco, California) Global Management & Operations Services Business Group. Some of the group’s current work includes managing nuclear projects at Savannah River, Oak Ridge and Hanford sites and the Sellafield sites.

Alstom (Levallois-Perret, France) announced that Yves Rannou will serve as senior vice president for Alstom Wind, effective April 1, 2014. Rannou, who will serve as a member of the executive committee of Alstom Renewable Power, will be based in Barcelona, Spain, and will be in charge of all activities related to onshore and offshore wind.

L-3 Klein Associates Inc. (Salem, New Hampshire) announced the promotion of Frank Cobis to vice president and general manager. Cobis most recently served as the vice president of programs for L-3 Klein, managing numerous navigation, maritime security and sonar projects for both domestic and international customers.

Robert Carsley has been appointed as CEO of Coda Octopus Products Pty Ltd. (Perth, Australia). Carsley, who joined Coda Octopus Products Ltd. 17 years ago, has experience in developing the GEO and MOTION product ranges. In 2013, Carsley was appointed as commercial director of Coda Octopus Products Ltd. He is already in his new post.

Fred Byus, a U.S. Navy retired rear admiral, has been named general manager of Battelle’s (Columbus, Ohio) Maritime Systems business unit. Byus joined Battelle in December 2007 as vice president of national security’s Navy market group after a 31-year career in the U.S. Navy. He has served on the board of directors for Battelle’s subsidiary, Bluefin Robotics.

Hydroid’s (Pocasset, Massachusetts) board of directors has selected Duane Fotheringham, Hydroid’s vice president of operations, as the company’s president after the resignation of Christopher von Alt.
