Hardy
Ashtead Technology (Aberdeen, Scotland) appointed Steve Brown as managing director in November. He joins the company with 18 years of experience in the machinery and rental industry, where he held positions as a technician and in sales and management.

Kevin Hardy rejoined the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, in November as a senior development engineer. He will resume the development of ocean trench unmanned free vehicles he began before leaving Scripps for DeepSea Power & Light in 2007. His engineering projects at Scripps will focus on research in marine medicine, particularly focusing on anti-cancer drugs and physical ocean science.

Ithaca Energy (Aberdeen, Scotland) has appointed Fergus McGhie as project delivery manager for the development of the Stella, Harrier and Hurricane discoveries, located in the U.K. sector of the central North Sea. McGhie joins the company from Shell UK Ltd., where he was central and northern North Sea project portfolio manager.

Adrián Sarasquete of VICUS DT (Vigo, Spain) has been named HydroComp Inc.'s (Durham, New Hampshire) new representative for Europe. A commercial user of HydroComp's NavCad and PropCad software for more than five years, Sarasquete's role as European representative will encompass sales, marketing, technical development and after-sales technical support.

Expro International Group (Reading, England) has appointed Keith Palmer as president and regional director for Expro North America. He is responsible for managing all aspects of operations across Expro's North America regions, both on land and offshore. Palmer joined Expro in 2005.

Berk-Tek (New Holland, Pennsylvania) recently announced the addition of Bethany Sarchet as its strategic account manager for Berk-Tek distributor Communication Supply Corp. (Carol Stream, Illinois). Sarchet, a graduate of University of Findley (Ohio), where she received a dual B.S. in marketing and human resource management, previously worked at General Cable Technologies Corp.

Offshore Marine Management (Bristol, England) recently hired Stephen Bolton to the newly created position of director of operations and maintenance. Bolton, with more than 10 years in the renewable energy market in onshore and offshore wind, has worked in development, construction, operations and asset management. He recently worked at RWE Innogy, where he established dedicated teams to focus on operations and maintenance methodology for large far-shore wind farms.
