CARIS 2012

CARIS (Fredericton, Canada) will host its 14th International User Group Conference from June 25 to 28 in Vancouver, Canada.

CARIS 2012 will feature demonstrations, user presentations, an industry exhibition, user group meetings and a number of networking events. This event is ideal for new and existing users interested in learning about the latest CARIS software enhancements and workflows.

Boot Camps
A two-day HIPS and SIPS boot camp, aimed at new users, will allow attendees to learn about the capabilities of this hydrographic data processing software. CARIS 2012 will also host a boot camp featuring the Paper Chart Composer software for nautical chart production, which was released in April.

User Group Meetings
Covering HIPS and SIPS, Bathy DataBASE and HPD (Hydrographic Production Database), specialized user group meetings will give attendees a chance to exchange knowledge and discuss existing and future development plans with CARIS product managers.

Presentations And Posters
CARIS 2012 attendees will hear from fellow users in the main conference sessions. The presentations will discuss techniques, challenges, accomplishments and future software needs for processing, analysis, production and discovery.

An academic poster session will be held during the main conference, giving students an opportunity to highlight research using CARIS software.

Networking Events
CARIS 2012 will feature several networking events where attendees can converse and network. The conference dinner will be held on June 27 on a yacht that will cruise past the Vancouver cityscape.
